History

Richard Hodkinson Consultancy was formed in 1999 by Richard Hodkinson. Following work conducted on Greenwich Millennium Village, Richard saw the need for sound practical advice on sustainability issues. With his experience working for the country’s largest developer, Richard was already well aware of the emerging technologies that would kick-start a dynamic change in the industry. The company’s range of services has increased as these areas have grown.

The team has expanded with continuous investment in the business not only in its people, but also with IT systems and a move in 2008 to new and larger offices.

 

Highlights

  • Providing cost effective solutions for Code for Sustainable Homes certification on over 40 schemes per year.
  • Our first planning application for a Code for Sustainable Homes Level 6 homes.
  • Supporting over 30 major planning applications with sustainability statements.
  • Securing EcoHomes certifications on over 2,000 homes, many of these obtaining an Excellent rating.
  • Producing over 50 energy strategies last year for renewable and low carbon technologies to meet complex planning requirements.
