Donald obtained his Masters degree from the University of St Andrews. He has a particular interest in renewable and low carbon energy technologies when applied to residential and commercial projects and when they are combined together in mixed use buildings.
Since joining the Practice last year he has produced energy statements for both residential and commercial developments. Donald has also produced renewable and low carbon energy option reports to meet the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes. He has also undertaken thermal modelling for commercial and residential buildings to demonstrate energy efficiency and renewable energy levels.
Donald is currently studying for a Masters degree in Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies with the Centre for Alternative Technology with a view to gaining Chartered status with the Energy Institute.
