Chatham Maritime

Client: Countryside Properties and SEEDA

This project is being developed on the former Royal Naval Base at St Mary’s Island, Chatham. It comprises a variety of housing types set within a mixed-use scheme. The work is being promoted by SEEDA who continue to set high standards of environmental performance.

All the buildings are assessed using the BREEAM [Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment] method that includes EcoHomes and BREEAM for offices.

  • Successfully achieved EcoHomes Excellent or Very Good standards on all 13 phases.
  • 10% renewable energy achieved on phases 7 and 8.
  • Cost effective solutions for Code Level 4.
