Client: Ardmore

East Road development is located just north of Old Street tube station in the London Borough of Hackney, by Rocket investments, with Ardmore as the main contractor. The scheme comprises 2 primary blocks. The north block contains student accommodation, with ground floor service areas and office space. The southern block contains office use which is partially wrapped on 3 sides by the hotel use, with ground floor service areas, hotel back-of-house, hotel bar and restaurant, office reception and a small retail unit.

Richard Hodkinson Consultancy was involved in extensive collaborative working with the detailed design team to meet the requirements of BREEAM Excellent for all uses. This involved outlining the detailed requirements of the exemplary sustainability standard for non residential uses to the design team in a thorough and clear way to ensure the standards were met.
