Key Issues

  • PV requires large areas (16m2) per supply inverter for cost efficiency.
  • Planning (energy) and Code (CO2) targets had be aligned to achieve simultaneous compliance.
  • Reduce number of dwellings with solar thermal panels constrained by hot water use – maximum 60% solar contribution.
  • Roof space issues – dormers, orientation and standard panel sizes.
