Construction environmental management plans

A Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) is often provided in outline at the planning stage, but more often is required by the local authority as a pre-commencement planning condition. We can assist in the preparation of CEMP, which may cover a variety of topics including: noise and vibration management, controlling dust and maintaining air quality, monitoring water usage, monitoring water pollution, and providing adequate protection of any cultural heritage and biodiversity.

A Construction Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) specifically outlines how construction traffic will be monitored and managed. It may form part of the CEMP, or may be submitted as a separate report. It will outline operating hours of construction traffic, set speed restrictions where appropriate and ensure that the most appropriate routes to the development are taken by the traffic.

We can assist in the preparation of both a CEMP and CTMP.  They can both also contribute to securing credits in both the Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM.
