CHP and community energy

We have extensive experience in community heating networks on major housing and mixed-use developments. Often these are powered by CHP engines. This experience and knowledge enables us to provide a variety of services that help our clients to meet project objectives (Planning policies, Building Regulations, Code for Sustainable Homes) whilst ensuring that a viable asset is developed in the long-term that benefits both the developer and resident.

  • Undertaking of tendering process of network operation with Energy Services Companies (ESCOs)
  • Preparation of Financial Analysis Models to examine the expected costs and revenues of networks
  • Heat tariff setting (and comparator of resident heat charges to conventional systems)
  • Advice on methods to reduce emissions of pollutants from the energy centre
