Research and emerging technologies
We identify and examine new ideas which make a real difference and can gain a commercial advantage. We recognise the rapid changes in the technical and commercial environment in which we work and we undertake research within the practice and act as research consultants to Government and its agencies. We look at:
- How effective newtechnologies are in meeting specific improvement requirements
- How much they cost
- Where the added benefit lies
- Benchmarking performance – where you are, as opposed to where you want to be
- Suppliers who can deliver
The last point is key. We look at suppliers who can build prototypes we can roll out in a controlled way, minimising risk and ensuring that any new technology can be “rolled out” in a controlled way.
