Water saving and sustainable drainage

The Code for Sustainable Homes sets very high standards for water efficiency in homes. For Code levels 3 and 4, a 20% reduction from the reduced 2010 Building Regulation standard is required. We have detailed practical experience in the specification of devices and appliances to meet these requirements.

For the future, as increasing Code Levels are likely to  become mandatory, there will be an increasing role for grey water recycling and rainwater harvesting systems. These pose significant operational concerns whether as individual or community based technologies. We have identified cost effective solutions for delivering water efficiency and storage, which can both meet these emerging standards and satisfy the expectations of home owners.

The Floods and Water Management Act requires detailed consideration of Sustainable Drainage solutions. These solutions to reduce runoff rates and runoff volumes rely on a return to more naturally based approaches which encourage natuarl groundwater recharge. They can also contribute to ecological enhancement through wildlife habitats and biodiversity.
