Detailed planning consent has been granted recently for the development by United House of Site B, New Heston Road in the London Borough of Hounslow. We were appointed by United House to prepare the Energy Statement, Sustainability Statement and Daylight & Sunlight Report for the detailed planning application submitted in August of this year.

The scheme, which has been developed in partnership with Hounslow Homes and the London Borough of Hounslow, will comprise a mixture of 80 flats and 8 houses with associated car parking and amenity space. The proposed development will not only significantly improve the existing site, which is currently occupied by vacant buildings, but will contribute to the regeneration and provision of affordable homes.

In the months leading up to the submission date, we worked closely with the design team to develop robust energy and environmental strategies to meet all planning policy requirements. Following the results of the daylight and sunlight assessment, further detailed work was carried out on Average Daylight Factors and recommending suitable window sizes to pass the recommended standards as set out in BS 8206-2:2008.

This project is just one of twelve in Hounslow that United House have been working on this year. We are very pleased to have contributed to this ongoing success.
