Richard Hodkinson Consultancy have assisted Berkeley Homes achieve Planning Consent for Phases 3 and 4 at Kidbrooke Village from the London Borough of Greenwich.
This follows previous appointments on the earlier consented phases for energy and Code assessments for some 1,500 dwellings. The Practice also developed the Masterplan Energy Strategy for the whole of Kidbrooke Village which formed a key part of the outline planning consent for the whole scheme. Richard Hodkinson commented that it was very pleasing for us to work with Berkeley Homes securing important planning consents and then assisting to deliver the scheme in practice.
Kidbrooke Village is one of Berkeley’s biggest regeneration projects to date and is one of the largest residential developments in London. When complete it will have 4,800 new homes and 300,000 square feet of commercial and retail space. A new primary school and new premises for an existing school are also to be provided. Shops, bars, restaurants, a hotel, healthcare, sports facilities and office space will gather around the central area, Kidbrooke Village Centre. Open space is another key feature of Kidbrooke Village. More than half of its total area will be parkland, including the new Cator Park and the established Sutcliffe Park.
Kidbrooke Village is being delivered in partnership with Greenwich Council, the Homes and Communities Agency and Southern Housing Group.
