We are looking for an Environmental Consultant with at least four years’ experience to join our Environment and Planning team. The following skills, knowledge and experience are required:

  • Relevant undergraduate or master’s degree;
  • Chartered member of a relevant professional body;
  • Experience with co-ordinating and managing a portfolio of BREEAM New Construction and Refurbishment projects;
  • Excellent technical communication and influencing skills;

Building Physics Specialist

We are looking for a Building Physics Specialist with one to two years’ experience to join our Performance and Simulation Team. The following skills, knowledge and experience are required:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in specialist consulting in the residential and commercial construction sector;
  • Relevant degree and background in architecture, architectural technology, environmental design, physics, engineering, or similar;
  • Experience in at least one of the following: Dynamic thermal modelling, overheating mitigation, daylight and sunlight assessment, thermal façade analysis and condensation risk assessment;
  • Desire to learn new technical skills and take on new challenges, with a focus in the building physics area (condensation and thermal façade analysis);
  • Proven capability at working on multiple projects;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • First-rate report writing and numerically literate;
  • Experience of 2D drafting in AutoCAD, Rhino or similar.

Desirable software skills:

  • 3D modelling in AutoCAD or Rhino;
  • Dynamic thermal modelling in DesignBuilder, IES or similar;
  • Thermal facade analysis using steady state heat transfer software such as Trisco or Solido;
  • Interstitial condensaion analysis using Glaser and WUFI.

Senior/Associate Director – Heat Networks

We are looking for a Senior/Associate Director to help grow our successful heat networks and energy management services in our multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy which acts as a trusted adviser to the leading players in the high-end residential sector. You will need at least 7 years’ experience in a related technical field and want to increase your exposure to external stakeholders. The following skills, knowledge and experience are required:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in specialist consulting in the heat networks sector
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience and strong technical expertise in a heat network related field (note that this role would be suitable for engineers but a wide range of academic qualifications and experience will be considered)
  • Chartered member of a relevant professional body
  • Experience in a broad range of the following:
    • Feasibility studies
    • Masterplanning
    • Cashflow/economic modelling
    • Design (up to RIBA Stage 3) and design reviews
    • Onsite validation and acceptance testing
    • ESCO tendering and commercial advice
    • CIBSE CP 1 compliance and consultancy
  • Desire to lead service development and business development, learn new technical skills and take on
