Hodkinson Consultancy is pleased to celebrate the planning approval of the updated Phase 4–9 masterplan for The Green Quarter in Southall, one of London’s most significant regeneration projects delivered by Berkeley Homes.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, we provided a comprehensive suite of environmental and sustainability services to support the application. This included the energy strategy, ensuring alignment with London Plan requirements and ambitious carbon‑reduction targets; an overheating mitigation strategy, integrating climate‑resilient design; and a detailed daylight and sunlight assessment to help secure high-quality homes across future phases.
We also led the Whole Life‑Cycle Carbon Assessment and Circular Economy Statement, demonstrating how the development will minimise embodied carbon, maximise reuse of materials and embed long‑term sustainability principles. In addition, Hodkinson undertook a technical review of the draft planning conditions on behalf of Berkeley Homes to help secure a robust and deliverable consent.
The Green Quarter continues to set a benchmark for large‑scale sustainable placemaking in London. Hodkinson Consultancy is proud to have played a key role in bringing forward this next chapter of a landmark regeneration project.
