Claudia joined Hodkinson Consultancy in July 2025 as a Graduate Energy and Overheating Consultant, with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Universidad de Guanajuato and a master’s degree in architecture and Sustainable Design from the University of Nottingham. She has volunteering experience with AIESEC, by participating in a 2-month project in Austria, based on the 12th UN Sustainable Development Goal: Responsible Consumption and Production.
With two years of experience in construction management and design of domestic, professional workspaces and industrial warehouses in Mexico. Eager to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings and contribute to sustainable practices, she focused both her research projects (dissertations) towards Sustainability. Her bachelor’s dissertation focused on how social housing in Mexico could be adapted to renewable energy use, specifically solar PV. During her master studies, she developed research regarding retrofitting social housing in Mexico to achieve thermal comfort by passive means, using dynamic building simulation software and literature review methods.
She is an affiliate ISEP member and she aspires to become a qualified Passive House assessor, as well as achieving chartered status with CIBSE.
