Rebecca joined Hodkinson Consultancy in 2023 as a Graduate Environment Consultant. Her MSc in Sustainability from the University of Southampton provided experience in report writing and project management as well as consultancy skills. For her research project, she studied the impact of Covid-19 on young people’s travel and transport choices in Southampton, UK.

Rebecca leads on Circular Economy Statements, supporting projects to integrate material reuse, resource efficiency and waste reduction from the earliest stages of design. She also works across a wide range of sustainability services delivering waste strategies, pre‑demolition audits, sustainability statements and BREEAM New Construction Residential (formerly known as HQM) Assessments that help clients embed sustainable principles into their projects.

Passionate about practical and impactful advice for our clients, Rebecca focuses on ensuring more circular, low‑carbon and resilient designs are considered throughout the construction process from planning through to post-construction.

Alongside her consultancy work, she plays an active role in the company’s Wellbeing Team contributing to a positive and supportive workplace culture. She also leads Hodkinson’s work experience programme, helping to mentor future sustainability professionals.

Rebecca holds Graduate Memberships with ISEP and CIWM and is progressing toward full chartership.
