Jonny joined Hodkinson in 2022 as a Graduate Energy Consultant, after completing a Master’s in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Southampton. For his research project, Jonny proposed a design for photovoltaic integration into refugee settlement shelters. His proposed system established a means for providing a basic electricity supply to refugee households, whilst offering cost and emissions savings compared to the current humanitarian infrastructure for electricity provision.

Building energy performance was core theme of his studies, with focus on passive design solutions, climate resilience of buildings, renewable integration, and the SAP process. His current role involves energy modelling and technical reporting. Jonny is to begin working towards chartership with the Energy Institute.
