Alicja joined Hodkinson Consultancy in January 2023 as a Principal Consultant with over 15 years’ experience in energy and sustainability.

She has broad knowledge of various sustainability-related topics, which gives her an excellent overview of how all elements of sustainable buildings design are interlinked and come together during the design, construction and in-use stages.

She has successfully delivered energy and sustainability strategies for large scale residential, commercial and healthcare developments with various site constraints (noise, odour, overshading) and onerous planning policy requirements. She is particularly interested in the design of zero carbon developments and analysis of complexities around their delivery, as well as associated benefits and risks.

She is an experienced embodied carbon and whole life carbon assessor, having delivered strategic and detailed design advice to limit embodied and whole life cycle emissions for various mixed-use developments.

She is an accredited domestic and non-domestic energy assessor and has completed CIBSE Whole Life Carbon Practitioner training. She holds Masters diploma in Technology and Organisation of Construction awarded in Poland and PgCert in Renewable Energy and Energy Management gained in the UK.

She is an Affiliate member of CIBSE and working towards full membership.
