Shruti joined Hodkinson Consultancy in September 2024 as a Graduate Consultant with a Bachelor of Architecture degree while completing a Master’s in Environmental Design and Engineering from the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources, University College London. Drawing on her multidisciplinary background, she has developed a holistic understanding of the building envelope, construction methodologies and energy‑efficient design principles.

As an Accredited Energy Assessor, she works across a wide range of residential schemes, from planning stages through to As-Built certification. She develops energy strategies that optimise building performance and reduce carbon emissions, recommending building fabric enhancements, low‑carbon technologies, and renewable solutions to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and regional planning policies. Shruti works closely with design teams to shape strategies that are efficient, compliant and commercially deliverable.

Shruti also undertakes overheating assessments, evaluating the impact of passive design measures, ventilation strategies, glazing ratios, and shading solutions. Her work ensure homes are providing comfortable environments for occupants while ensuring it is resilient to future climatic conditions.

Shruti is a graduate member of CIBSE and is actively working toward achieving Chartered Engineer status.
